Pastel de Carne

To be prepared with someone special - in the kitchen, in mind, because you are that special someone or with multiple specials someones.

Prevents work-day blues and atrophy of the heart. Encourages heat in the kitchen - preheat oven to 375.


Start by caramelizing white onions with your choice of dark beer (tip: 90-min Dogfish Head)

Let onions cool and add brown mustard

Hand-mix fine salt, course black pepper, chopped mushrooms, fresh parsley, crushed red pepper, bread crumbs, one egg + ground beef

Combine onions/mustard and flavored beef mixture - form into a loaf shape with no holes

Place the loaf of meat in a loaf-shaped baking tin and into oven for 40 mins - all kitchens differ so alter temp and time for best convection - an inserted knife will not lie

Pull out and top with romano cheese and mashed potatos - back in oven for couple mins

My special someone made a tomato sauce to boot -- whole tomatoes cooked down, with lots of garlic and spice

Garish with a tall glass of milk and the latest of episode of the Office

The __ button on my keyboard doesn't work

Without a _ button I realie of all the words that I can't type. Some really amaing words. and I realie too how often I say "cray!" when gchatting or writing emails.

I think your level of enthusiasm in life can be measured by how many words with a _ in them you use on a daily basis. Make a list.

Think too how your well of enthusiasm is high and deep when you get more sleep, or _s. And not just any sleep, as T-Pain has pointed out, it's not enough to sleep as part of a process. It's the slow, meditative sleep - the dreaming sleep - that rhythmically fills our wells of enthusiasm.

So say them, get them, be them. The Zs of life that is.

A fair fairy, charming prince and warrior king are in a stone room. The king has left the throne and is walking towards a woman with great new york boobs. The fair fairy plans to light upon the shoulder of the charming prince - he walks towards a silver goblet.
